Work was great. Husni and azrian were together with me on the shift. Azrian's really really REALLY patient and nice. Husni's like a little brother loh! Dunno why. He immitated me going "husni! Husni! Hello!" As a customer. Haha funny loh.
Didn't get to work much with char and carolyn though cause they were doing the pastries.
Syaheed and I were at the pos register today. I think I'll get the hang of it by the end of the week! Haha. Not easy job that!! (At least not YET!) Haha.. Syaheed kinda just let me do all the orders and cash transactions.. Which was kinda cool, but scary.
I went to the bank to get my aussie dollars settled today. The exchange rate was good this weekend, till this morning when I was still in bed. Then mummy called me to go down straight to plaza sing dbs before the rate changed again. So on the way we were just praying that the rate would still be good when we got to the bank.. And guess what! Yeah we got a good exchange rate. Then a few hours later the rate rose. Really thank God we were there in time. Lol.
So tmr's prom night! I'm going out with ching! And meeting fookeat in the afternoon! Whahaha.. G'nite world! Have fun in your little black dresses and immaculately pressed shirts! :D

i just came back from in-store training and smell of chocolate!
azrian spilt chocoloate mix on me! work was really busy, happening and fun BUT tiring today.
hermie said i looked like i've just been raped.
hahaha partners there are great. funny lot.
i was making hot drinks and doing cup markings today and azrian guided me alot even though he wasn't my learning coach. first time at the bar! cool stuff that!
i did drink calling at the POS register
and pastries. our oven is like this angry hot monster that doesn't look as dangerous as it is and it always threatens to kill the food i feed it! today, it burnt a turkey cranberry loaf! :( good thing i had muhsin there who covered up for me!
on wednesday, i just went to starbucks to chill and hang around before heading down to meet jansen for dinner. we went to manhattan fish market! his friend is some big shot there i think so our soup, drink and ice cream (which prolly added up to 10-20 buck) was on him. haha dinner was GREAT.
thursday- headed to the HQ for my last class. i met IS, who is a super funny guy. he's got rojak blood.. some middle eastern and chinese and dunno WHAT in him. understands chinese malay english, indonesian..cool dude!
we were learning how to steam milk and IS was having his hand at it when suddenly BOOM! (no boom luh..)milk flew everywhere! haha! he panicked, but continued making his latte. when he served the imaginary customer, he went "here you go sir, your explosive latte!" hahaha! i made a slightly exploive latte today too! good thing it wasn't a huge blast, but unfortunately it was in a real store, for a real customer. after class at HQ, i headed down for in-store with sha for three hourrs. HERMIE CAME BACK!! finally see her again after so long!
This morning when i punched in, danial came to me
dan: eh i want to ask you something
me: what?
dan: nvm la, very complicated
as i was doing washing
me: quick la, what did you want to ask me?
dan: you... you know a delivery guy ah?
me: OH SHUCKS!
(i was completely taken aback! what a small world!!!!)
me: eh! don't tell me you know him
dan: he's my childhood friend loh..
me: huh?? really? he asked you?
dan: yeah he wants your number but i told him cannot la, have to ask you first.
super small world. so small it's scary. good thing i'm flying off next year.
and guess who's mom i met today.
singaporeidol joakim's mum! apparently she comes to our store quite regularly and azrian has been serving her so he was trying to recall her regular order today. i began talking to her and she told me that her son is 19 and flipped open her phone and showed me his photo.
and ulu suaku me who doesn't watch tv just went "eh, he's quite good-looking ah!"
but yana who was beside me went "omg, you're joakim's mum??"
and i was still in a blur!!!
so yeah i'm tired, there's work tmr too. good night world!

past two days (mon/tue) have been really happening.
mon- woke up early and headed for aunty cook geok's place to bake. yumo.
headed to school intending to write notes for the dance juniors, but ended up going out with minghui yaqi and kahkee to look for their prom clothes. or rather kahkee's prom clothes. lunch at yoshinoya.
rushed off to meetsha at tanjong pagar for TYPHOID INJECTION.
*shivers. i really can't stand needles. it was all good until AFTER i came outta the room! i started imagining how the needle went in and how the liq was injected into my bloodstream. YUCK. they all say wait till i go for blood test. NO THANK YOU!
worst part is i think i might have to go for TWO MORE JABS for the thailand mission trip. goodness.
we went to get makan after our jabs and headed to commonwealth for class. class size was HUGE cause there were people from many other batches joining us. i got to know zhi wei too. i was really really surprised when he told me he was from HCI. lol! we had LOTS of cappuccinos and lattes and caramel macchiatos coming in cause the class next door were practising their bar drinks. on top of all that coffee drinks, we tasted EIGHT types of coffee. i was a little surprised at how easily i fell asleep though.. at 3 plus in the morning talking on the phone with fruit.
tue-
woke up all too late to go for class chalet. sorry hwee kay! so i headed stright for the store for my first in-store training and lo and behold...... my learning coach turned out to be ISA!! lol. he's a pretty good coach luh. zam and hann were on shift today too. nizam's gf just came back from aussie and she got him krispy kremes! i think the ones we had in uk were better though! YUM!
highlight of today's instore training...
i learnt how to make frappuccino drinks and...
i got to make drinks for REAL customers! hahaha!
it wasn't 100% fun. it was a tad bit scary because i was terribly unsure of the recipes, but isa guided me. but it was really exciting to, even just to do the cup markings. and the names of the drinks turned out to be MUCH harder to say when you have to call it loud on top of being nervous and unsure! i've got a for here grande no whipped chocolate cream chip fracppucinno blended coffee!
so i knocked off at 2145 and headed for dereks place! it was already ten plus, dark and rainy when derek came. so it was me and him under his umbrella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh! hahaha! sorry i just HAD to do that. we had the house all to ourselves. as in derek and the rest of us ACS/RGS/1AHS/1TKSS peeps. the tkss dude's got a really interesting name. his middle name's "Charming". haha he's part spanish luh. then the pizza came. the deliver boy was only 19! so young! he tried to get my number but when derek distracted him i ran inside with the food! LOL.
headed to school at almost 12 to pay the dancers a visit. i missed farewell yester causae of coffee class so i got my farewell prezzie today and i must say the green socks are ABSOLUTELY PRETTY!
almost forgot to apply for school. i applied, but haven't told mum what my choices were yet. but ah that can wait.

woke up early for coffee class today.
again, it was an up and happening class which was really enjoyable. i saw yana and zam there too! they were having their coffee master test.
rushed off to hilton hotel after class to meet bruce and the rest of the palmerston people.
i got to know who my homies are gonna be!
apparently my long lost friend ZELIA is coming too! what more, we'll be staying in the same unit! siao coincidental.
then i found out that pastor vinc is gg for his course at trinity as well and that he plans to gather all the bmc ppl. LOL! can't believe how coincidental everything is!
AND THEN, i said hi to this girl, jenna and as we talked, i found out that she's stefan's cousin! so then her mum (aunty pet/pat) aka aunty lee fong is aunty lan fong and aunty sally aka mrs sally lai's sister! haha... i couldn't believe how small our world is. *shivers.
i think the 5 of us - lishan, ze, abigail, wynn and i- are gonna get along pretty well! yay!
it's all rather exciting, but then again, i still have my reservations bout telling people where i'm going. (obviously these are the ones who prolly don't know bout my blog). i'm just afraid that they'd treat me differently or think that "oh since she's going away why bother getting to know her so much" kinda thing. rah. dunno.

this is the third day after exams and i'm tired.
wednesday was spent out with yaqi cause i had to get stuff for work time passed so quickly that before i knew it it was already time for tuition.
mark and i went to cityhall for lunch, but JR called, telling me that i had to answer some questions before going for cofclass so i thought i had to go all the way back to the store. poor us, took the train back when JR called again and told me that i could do it over the phone!!! so we went back to cityhall for lunch, walked around, got some stuff, headed to ACS.
guess who we met on the way.. peiyi! lol, i heard his name so many times but never met him before. so anyway, the two of them went to the boardroom to put their camp stuff. opposite the boardroom was where the council was having a meeting and guess who i saw..paul. lol. better yet, before we even got so far in to the school, while we were walking in, i saw john whom i totally forgot existed since milk started hibernating 2 years ago.
so mark py and i wandered around the huge gargantuan compound. i thought their circular classrooms were quite nice (but maybe not for having lessons cause they have glass walls) but obviously py and mark didn't like it luh. my favourite part of the school was the tack and pool and bleachers. maybe cause when we went there the wind was quite strong and it wasn't to hot. AND, there were quite a few activities going on at the track. there was this girl who looked super zai! we headed to the sac which was a lot bigger than i expected it to be. the aircon was on, but none of the stalls were open. *shakes head.
THEN it was time for cofclass so i headed off to meet sha and zah. class turned out to be quite fun. we were all rather bonded for strangers. majority of them were malays. i learnt a few malay words! whahaha! they're quite nice. not all.. i havent really gotten to know everyone yet. sha and liyana would translate some stuff for me if it was said in malay, but sometimes when the person spoke in malay she'd appologize and repeat it in english. haha it was a good time of learning and laughter.
woke up super early today and headed to the airport to have breakfast with charlene. crazy i noe. headed for JC appilcation briefing then stayed in school to play bball. wasn't much of a game though cause i was a tad too tired, and i think so were the rest. lotsa stuff to do today. lotsa activity to keep me going! just the way i like my hols, but first. SLEEP.

exams are finally over

OVER!!!
so everyone else probably went to partay and paint the town red.
i crazily went to bedok stadium for a couple of sprints before heading home.
haha i can imagine running on the melbourne university track just outside college compound.
totally exciting!! part of me cannot wait to leave.

anyway, derek and johnny were psycho-ing me to apply for first 3 weeks at acsi.
derek: ask kevin to fetch you to school la! he's fetching me to school next year. i'll lend you my uniform
LOL! we'll see bout that.
so after running a mere two hundred metres to satisfy the urge to run which came while i was answering an explain-why-sprinters-get-most-of-their-energy-from-anaerobic-respiration question during my biology paper, i headed home.
met diana on the way home (after 4 years! kinda.)
chatted a little. she's now the president of temasek secondary student council!
so zai!!
ching came over to help me clear my study territory (which means half the living room area).
not that she really healped much haha.
washed the sofa covers as per mother's orders.
that left a whole lot of feathers on the floor. when ching saw she was like "what happened?? did a bird come in??"
i went "ya. i killed it"
ching: huh?? how???
me: shot it
ching: ya rite!
me: really! you know those toy guns with the bullets?
ching: huh!! YUCKS!! then where's the bird?
me: threw it away la
ching: you mean you touched it??????
me: use plastic bag loh!
ching: yuck! you're sick la! why didnt you just shoo it away
(why didn't i think of that!)
me: ya it didn't want to go! so i shot it.
ching: eeeee.. that's so sinful! you just killed a bird!
then after some time, still slightly traumatized she asked me where the bird was again.
me: in the washing machine..............no la.. i stuffed it into the sofa seating
so ching looked at the sofa and realised that the feathers came from there! hahahahahaha! FUNNY LIKE EEEKS!!
lunchtime came so we walked over to simpang with a macdonalds umbrella which ching couldn't believe i would carry. she said i looked super aunty. she ended up holding it luh so whatever. hahahaha! i'd be crazy to walk all the way to simpang without a shade over my head! midday sun is NO JOKE.
we both cleared my wardrobe when we got back. had to stop halfway cuz i had to go for my First Impression!! i met sha (the girl who went before me for the interview), and zahid who was 25 mins late! yeah so that was 2 hours of talking, but we got paid anyway YAY! i just enjoy every moment at starbucks luh, it's like hanging out with friends and meeting new people.. which is why not being able to go out to party didn't really make a difference. we had coffee tasting too. i finally got a black coffee passport. lawrence gave me a white one on the 22nd of october before my first o level paper!! working here's been something i'd always wanted to do since a few months back when hermie was still around.
really blessed to have been given the job because they dont seem to be very keen on hiring people who just wanna work for 2 months and cabut. it'd be very unfair to them anyway.
all in all i had a great day which i found rather purposeful! my kinda day.

2c was the greatest class ever! with ching, minmin, sihan, gwyn, soo, nien, jo the crazy people.

the guys in class treated my like a brother
i trashed yi qian in bball!! (cant say the same today hahaha)
i remember the dance people singing me a birthday song at our sports heats and after they finished, soo hiang's sister and her friends whom i didn't know sang again for me. that was super touching and totally made my day!!
i had my first break up, but the period after that was really good. the lovely people around me gave me too many distractions and reasons not to remain upset.
i flew to melbourne by myself and stayed there for two week before mum and caleb joined me. wha so zai rite! haha i stayed at trinity college for summer school. after mummy and caleb came we stayed at aunty yok tyng's place then flew over to sydney to join sam-ee. we spent christmas there too!
in sec 3
i really loved dance. i still didn't really like dancing though. ok fine, maybe secretly i do.. in fact i like ballet i think. it's so tiring though. june lee's ballet classes that i had in pri sch were so so physically draining.
i didn't really like 3G. it was nothing compared to 2c.
i hated school. so badly wanted to quit school!
i got second last in class. xinzi got last. well hey, she's now a mighty SEVEN pointer and i got 8 :D yeah that really woke us up alright.
i spent my birthday with kevin and his friends who spontaneously came along after their visit to chinatown. that's when i met jonathan ong aka johnny!

and how zhengyi didn't like the way some sports people distinguished themselves from the non-sports players.
i enjoyed sitting with yuhua cause he's so funny.
and i remember fining him ten cents for every vulgar word he used which would eventually go to my mission trip piggy bank. well he didn't pay up luh.
had a truly memorable time on the CIP trip to chiangrai with the greatest people. how aurial, me, nal and adeline woke up one morning finding soot on our faces and noses and even in the phlegm we coughed out cuz we left the oil lamp burning overnight. hahahahaha CLASSIC!!
the climb up mount kinabalu was also somehting i'd not forget any time soon. zhengyi and jovan pangsehed me and i had to climb alone in the moonlight with nobody in sight.

i got to know sulin more when we sat together.
i dropped to express chinese
spent most of my time studying, but i enjoyed my studying time because i got to know more than a dozen great people!
then came the ugly friendship problem.. which reminds me...
i dreamt of yh last night. it was a really good dream. no he didn't get killed or anything like that. i dreamt that he just came up to me and shook my hand, saying something like we were friends again or something. then suddenly all the people around me left, including him. but it didn't really matter because i was just so so so happy that he told me we were friends again. he had said it with such light-heartedness in his usual bubbly self.
yeah that was a good dream.

spent the whole day at buxie!
1) conversation with the furniture uncle who told me why he hardly goes home. hehe.. now i know their secret!!!!
2) conversation with the furniture aunty who insisted on getting me something to eat, but i declined. they're a v nice couple luh. used to do social work.
3) conversation with "crazy woman" who turns out to be quite sane. she wanted to get me something to eat too. haha (did i look very hungry then??)

RAHH!! CALEB AND HIS FRIENDS WOKE ME UP FROM SWEET SWEET SLUMBER!!
they were playing some rock song (at least i think its rock) grr.. i'd so much rather wake to Music and Lyrics soundtrack than a ROCK SONG!!
zam was coaching char again yester, siti wondered if i was joo kuan, jr put four pumps of TN syrup in the milk(so sweet!), muhsin was there again! hohum. hann and doirces. met azrin. ariff was there too.
whooo.. christmas is coming we're all getting in the chrismassy mood with all the reds and greens and whites(that's white)!
